Venue for the meeting | CERN site information

The meeting will take place in CERN. Plenary sessions will take place in the Main Auditorium (building 500) and workshops will take place in conference rooms nearby the main building (Buildings 40 and 60).

 The Main auditorium has been the venue of keynote speeches by winners on the Nobel Prize in Physics as well as lectures and presentations by distinguished physicists, attended by students and top scientists from around the world.

Map of different locations:


Building 500: Main auditorium for the Plenary sessions and conclusions (on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th March) and Topic 1(only on Thursday 29th March)
Cafeteria: breakfasts, lunches, dinners and coffee breaks will be served here
Building 33: CERN Reception just in front of the tramway stop
Building 39: CERN Hostel for registration on Tuesday 27th March and accommodation
Building 40: Topic 1, Topic 2 and Topic 3 will be located in this building on Wednesday 28th March.
Building 60: Topic 2 and topic 3 will be located in this building, nearby building 500, on Thursday 29th March.

How to reach CERN

From the Airport to CERN

 

- by taxi approximately 35 CHF

- by Bus: take a bus ticket, free of charge, that you will find in the hall for lagguages, just before
customs control:

Option 1: take the bus "Y" direction "CERN" until CERN stop
Option 2: take bus 23, 28, or 57 and exit "Blandonnet" stop. Take than
tramway N°14 until "CERN" stop http://www.tpg.ch/fr/index.php

 By train - From the train station Cornavin

Take tramway N° 14 and exit "CERN" stop (ca. 22 min.).
The ticket costs 3.50 CHF (ticket "tout Geneve). More information on http://www.tpg.ch/fr/index.php

  By Car 


From Switzerland: Follow "Airport, "Lyon" or "Meyrin" directions. When you are in Meyrin, take "St Genis" direction.

From France (Ain): Follow "Gex" or "St Genis" directions.

Meyrin A: Monday - Friday from 07:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.

Any person entering the site must be in possession of a card issued by CERN certifying that he is authorised to enter the site. You are invited to announce yourself at the reception desk of CERN (Build. N°33 before 17:45). After 17:45 announce you at entrance B. Tell them that the badge of the conference FPS will be given at the CERN Hostel Hall.
